In every project we take on, one thing remains non-negotiable: safety. At Cay Building, we believe that protecting our team, our partners, and our job sites is the most important part of what we do.

From the moment a new crew member steps onto a project, safety is front and center. Our teams receive hands-on training, regular Toolbox Talks, and clear instructions tailored to each location and task. We make sure everyone understands how to identify risks, use equipment correctly, and speak up when something isn’t right.

We only work with certified PPE that meets international standards like ANSI and EN. Helmets, harnesses, gloves, ear protection—each item is selected and inspected to ensure it’s fit for the conditions of our Caribbean job sites.

Our supervisors carry out routine safety inspections and walk-throughs, while our admin team supports with documentation, reporting, and follow-up. We also make use of photo and video logs to monitor conditions in real time, helping both our internal team and our clients stay informed and aligned.

Beyond protocols and equipment, safety at Cay is about culture and accountability. Leadership leads by example. Site supervisors take the time to mentor their teams. And everyone is encouraged to prioritize safety over speed—always.
