CAY BUILDING

The College of the Bahamas (now University of the Bahamas) is a key educational institution in Nassau, Bahamas. During its construction, modern engineering approaches were used to create a campus that not only met academic needs, but also withstood the environmental conditions of the region. Construction of the campus included the use of lightweight steel structures for the main buildings, which allowed for rapid build-out and flexibility in design. Duratek wall panels were used to improve energy efficiency and provide a resilient barrier to the tropical climate, while the EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System) was used to provide a durable and aesthetically pleasing finish to the building facades.
