The Hilton British Colonial Hotel in Nassau, Bahamas, is a historic property that combines colonial charm with modern conveniences. The construction of the hotel in phases I and II involved careful restoration and modernization of the original structure, along with expansion to include new facilities to meet contemporary standards. Construction also included the installation of advanced HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, which were carefully integrated into the existing structure so as not to compromise the hotel’s historic aesthetics. In addition, new common areas such as restaurants, lounges and conference rooms were added, designed to offer modern conveniences without clashing with the historic surroundings.
